Moorland Makers

Free session every Wednesday 10am – 12noon

Moorland Community Centre, Moorland Avenue LN6 7NH

Join a group of makers, crafters and creative friendly faces to work on your own projects, have a go at something new and make friends. Bring your own craft materials to this weekly session, or use some of the basic materials available. There will also be refreshments.

On the first Wednesday of each month, the group invite a guest maker to bring their expertise and have a go at something new. Places are often limited for these special monthly sessions, so please book below. Every other Wednesday, no booking required.

Ermine Makes

Looking for a way to connect with your community and get creative? Join us for Ermine Makes – a weekly session where adults can explore their own creativity in a relaxed, welcoming space. Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just curious to try something new, there’s a seat at the table for you.

Taiko Workshops

Saturday 18th April

Boultham Library (Breakthrough Centre), LN6 7ST

Taiko is Japanese ensemble drumming and incorporates drumming patterns, choreographed movements and energy shouts to create powerful and exciting performances. Taiko is accessible for anyone and really fun! Join Humber Taiko for an exciting session to try this for yourself! Places are extremely limited.

There are groups throughout the morning from ages 3-adult and a SEND session.

Primary Dance

Calling all young dancers aged 6 – 11! Led by Lincolnshire dance artist Amy, these energetic sessions are all about fun, movement, and self-expression. Whether your child is new to dance or already loves to groove, they’ll feel right at home.

Parent Pause

While the kids dance, grown-ups are invited to stay on site for a relaxed meet-up. Enjoy a hot drink, chat with others, and unwind with gentle crafts and conversation. No pressure – just a chance to connect.

A Passing Tale

Our new project across Greater Lincolnshire and beyond, celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Viking Way. These workshops are led by multi-disciplinary artist Hannah Peacock.

Creative Nature Walks

Join artist Marion Sander for this inspiring walk connecting with nature. Learn simple techniques to see and enjoy your surroundings in a fresh way and to recreate in your own time. Observe, listen, move and create in this fun guided walk, perfect for the whole family!

Story Sticks
Tuesday 7th April

Hartsholme Park

Originated by artist Lee Sass “Story Sticks” derived from nomadic rituals of collecting natural materials and tying them onto stones to remind the storyteller of their journey. Also created to enable Alzheimer patients who “thread” (a term used for constant motoring of hands) to physically engage and reflect on the past as story. Lee continues to use the story sticks as diaries to mark significant moments. She invites you to create your own story stick.

Circus Skills and Aerial

Monks Abbey Bowls Pavilion

We’re excited to be back at Monks Abbey with more aerial and circus fun! Try out trapeze and hammock on the aerial rig with Circus Starlight, and have a go at a variety of circus skills with Laura. This is a drop in session and all ages welcome!

Family Make Clubs – Easter Holidays
