Moorland Makers
Free session every Wednesday 10am – 12noon
Moorland Community Centre, Moorland Avenue LN6 7NH
Join a group of makers, crafters and creative friendly faces to work on your own projects, have a go at something new and make friends. Bring your own craft materials to this weekly session, or use some of the basic materials available. There will also be refreshments.
On the first Wednesday of each month, the group invite a guest maker to bring their expertise and have a go at something new. Places are often limited for these special monthly sessions, so please book below if there is a session available. Every other Wednesday, no booking required.

Taiko Workshops

Taiko is Japanese ensemble drumming and incorporates drumming patterns, choreographed movements and energy shouts to create powerful and exciting performances. Taiko is accessible for anyone and really fun! Join Humber Taiko for an exciting session to try this for yourself! Places are extremely limited.
There are groups throughout the morning from ages 3-adult and a SEND session.

Cyanotype Nature Prints

Using the cyanotype process, a historic photographic technique activated by sunlight we will create nature inspired prints, creating a visual story our surroundings. A perfect and magical workshop for everyone! With artist Lee Sass. Drop in throughout the afternoon.

We are thrilled to be joined by local painter Phil Bowman, who will guide us through an evening of creativity. Whether you are an experienced artist or haven’t picked up a pencil in years, this session is all about connecting with nature, observing the landscape with fresh eyes, and finding your own creative voice in the heart of our local history.
This is a relaxed, supportive session dedicated to creativity in the great outdoors. Come along, find a quiet corner, and let the Arbo inspire your next sketch. For adults. Spaces are limited for this exclusive evening workshop.
Mosaics and Murals

Get ready to get creative! We are transforming Boultham Park into an open-air art studio, and we’d love for you and your family to join us for a day of making, collaborating, and outdoor fun.
Unleash your inner designer with professional artist RACH! In this hands-on session, you will learn the meditative process of cutting tiles and arranging them onto templates. Whether you choose to create a beautiful Summer flower or an organic Leaf pattern, RACH will guide you through composition and adhesive application.
Plus join artist Ellie Benton for a special mural session. This is all about community and teamwork – everyone will get hands-on to help build a large-scale, collaborative piece of art that celebrates our local park.
Drop in anytime. Children must be supervised by an adult.

Open Mic (with Max Sander)
Do you have a song to share or a track to play? Experienced musician Max Sander is hosting an open mic session designed for everyone. Bring your instrument along, plug in, and play, or just hop on the mic and have a go with our provided gear. From seasoned performers to first-timers, this is a supportive, no-pressure space to share your sound.
Create a Reel (with Stoneybroke Films)
Once the music hits the airwaves, it’s time to capture it. Join Sam Holdsworth and Lolly Price from Stoneybroke Films for a beginner-friendly workshop on making impactful Reels and TikToks. You’ll learn how to craft social videos that actually look like you, discovering your own creative language and learning how to tell your story in your own style.
